Dr. Swanson was born and raised in the Stafford/Fredericksburg area. He has an extensive history in the dental field, working in the family business as a dental lab technician all through high school and college, and then as a dental assistant, working throughout his collegiate career.
Dr. Swanson is an alumnus of Brooke Point High School in Stafford County, Virginia. He completed his undergraduate education at Virginia Tech, where he earned a BS in Biology. He then continued his education at The University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Louisville, KY, for four years.
Dr. Swanson has been married to his high school sweetheart, Melissa, since 2004. They have a son, Fate, and two daughters, Scarlett and Savannah. The entire family are all huge Hokie football fans (Go Hokies!).
Dr. Swanson remains committed to staying up-to-date with the latest practices, materials, and technology in the ever-evolving field of dentistry. With this in mind, Dr. Swanson maintains a rigorous schedule of continuing education, giving him advanced skills in areas such as orthodontics, sedation dentistry, implants, and cosmetics. In addition, he maintains membership in such organizations as the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentists, the Richmond Dental Society, Spear Education, DOCS Education, and the United States Dental Institute.
Dr. Swanson has also volunteered his time and expertise in Mission of Mercy (MOM) projects, serving the disadvantaged throughout the state of Virginia since 2004. He has been dedicated to working with a great group of doctors as a part of the Denture Team, and now leads the Partial Denture Team for the Virginia MOM Projects.
Through all of Dr. Swanson’s different experiences, he has arrived at a single conclusion; Virginia is his home, and his goal is to serve the oral health needs of the community he loves to the very best of his ability. He is proud to be a part of such a fine community, and is honored you entrust him as your partner in oral healthcare.
Dr. John Seisman grew up in Annapolis, Maryland and has been living in southern Maryland after completing school and residency. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland at College Park. He went on to receive a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. Dr. Seisman was the sole member of his graduating class selected to participate in a clerkship focusing on Advanced Fixed Prosthodontics. He has been awarded the Southeastern Academy of Prosthodontics award for Excellence in Prosthodontics, the Harry B. Schwartz Memorial Award for Excellence in Fixed Prosthodontics, and was selected to be a member of the American Prosthodontic Foundation Scholar’s Program. He was inducted into Gorgas Odontological Honorary Society and the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society. Dr. Seisman completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Virginia Commonwealth University which focused on comprehensive dental care including restoring dental implants, as well as the fabrication of complete and immediate dentures. Dr. Seisman has practiced in southern Maryland for the last four years. He is committed to learning advanced and up to date techniques to ensure the best outcomes for his patients. He has committed hundreds of hours of continuing education for implant placement and restoration, orthodontics and sedation methods. Dr. Seisman is an Invisalign certified provider and a member of the DOCS- Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. Outside of the office, Dr. Seisman enjoys spending time with friends and family, working on his Jeep and cheering on the Ravens.
Dr. Bratic was born in Bosnia and moved to the United States at the age of 9. She grew up in Phoenix, AZ and enjoys running and hiking in the desert.
She received a BS in Kinesiology and then an MS in Business Management from Arizona State University. Go Sun Devils! She went on to obtain her D.M.D from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Louisville, KY. Dr. Bratic is excited to join Dr. Swanson and his team in Virginia.
“Melissa has worked alongside Dr. Swanson since the practice opened in Fredericksburg on March 1, 2011. Melissa is a graduate of Virginia Tech. She oversees all functions of the practice to ensure that patients receive the highest quality dental care possible. She resides in Spotsylvania County and grew up in Stafford County. She is a proud mother of 3 energetic and beautiful children. She loves to be outdoors and takes a special interest in ornamental gardening. When time allows, her favorite thing to do is take weekend trips with her family. She is active with her community church and loves the opportunity to love on the little ones at the church day care. She has a strong faith in the Lord and believes each day is truly a gift. She is very thankful for the opportunity God has provided her to serve the community through her work with Southpoint Quality Dental.”

“Patty has been a dental assistant since 1997 and has worked with Dr. Swanson since 2010. Patty is a native Spotsy County girl. Patty is married to her husband Stuart and has two kids Zack and Amanda. She enjoys camping and Nascar.”
“Erin began working as a hygiene assistant in 2008 and shortly after became a dental assistant. Erin is married to her husband Stephen with two children Landon and Caroline. She loves going to the Washington Nationals baseball games, visiting the beach, and most of all spending time with her family!”
“Kayla graduated first in her class from Allegany College of Maryland in 2010. Her employment with our practice began in 2013 following her family’s move from Pennsylvania (Steelers Country). She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, traveling, and cheering for both the Steelers and the Nittany Lions.”
“Theresa (Thez) has been working in the dental field since 1993, when she migrated from the beautiful island of the Philippines to Long Beach, California. She has been working with Dr. Swanson since his return to the area, even prior to the opening of his own practice. Thez currently resides in Colonial Beach, Virginia, with her only son Kyle, a freshman in college at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a huge fan of both baseball and basketball, and loves to travel with her son.”
“Vichele graduated from Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) in 2011. Her tenure with us began in 2015 when she began working with us as a part-time hygienist. Vichele’s relationship with our practice solidified in the latter half of 2016 when she accepted a position as the Stafford Office’s Lead Hygienist. In her spare time, Vichele enjoys spending time with her two sons and traveling.”
“Dee has been a Dental Assistant since 1990, joining the Southpoint Quality Dental team as the Stafford Office Lead Assistant in June of 2015. She is originally from Pennsylvania, moving from the “Keystone State” to Virginia in 2008. Dee is married with three children (she has one girl and two boys), and now shares a birthday with her first grand-daughter born in February 2017. One of her boys is currently serving our country in the U.S. Army. She loves spending time with her family – especially spoiling her granddaughter – and takes any free moment she has to go trail riding with her two big gentle giants (also known as her lovable horses)!”
“Debra joined the Southpoint Quality Dental team in March of 2015. When not assisting the Dentists and Hygienists with patient treatment as a Hygiene/Dental Assistant, she directly supports the Front Desk staff by taking on administrative responsibilities. Debra has two amazing sons and a beautiful niece with whom she enjoys spending all of her free time, often traveling to exciting places with her children. She loves to read and is a huge fan of action-packed movies.”
“Allison began working in the dental field in 1988, becoming part of the Southpoint Quality Dental team in December, 2016. She is now one of the Patient Benefit Coordinators at our Stafford location, where she handles patient check-in and scheduling at the front desk. Allison is native to the region, having been raised in Spotsylvania County. She loves the area, and still resides in Spotsylvania with her husband and two boys. When not at work, you will most likely find her watching her boys play either baseball or soccer. Her free time consists of being a mom to her boys, playing with her four dogs, and tending to her family’s chickens. Allison loves to spend time at the beach, to go on cruises, and to tend her gardens.”
“Ashley has been in the dental field since 2012 working as a Treatment Plan and Patient Coordinator. She joined the Southpoint Quality Dental team in July of 2016, and currently assists patients in our Fredericksburg Office. Ashley has three beautiful children – Tristan, Benjamin, and Lincoln – with her fiancé, Nicholas. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading a good book (when time allows!), and being a mom to her wonderful kids.”
“Cindy began her tenure with Southpoint Quality dental in June 2012 after retiring from 26 years in education. She received her bachelor’s degree from George Washinton University and her master’s degree from the Commonwealth of Virginia. Her primary responsibilities at SPQD include conducting account audit for accuracy, and verifying patient benefits and insurance eligibility at both the Fredericksburg and Stafford offices. Her greatest joy is spending time with her grandchildren, but she also enjoys reading, horseback riding and painting.”
