The event is known as the “Super Hero Dash,” and is sponsored by the Strong for Dom Foundation. The Strong for Dom Foundation founders are Harvey and Margaret Beltran. They lost their son Dominic Beltran to Neuroblastoma four years ago, on February 7, 2013. This is one of their annual fundraisers to raise awareness regarding the condition, with proceeds from the event going towards cancer research. This is the third year that the race is being held.
This is a very family oriented race. The Super Hero Dash consists of a 1 mile “fun run” and – new this year- a 5K race. The event is to be held on April 30, 2017 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at John Lee Pratt Memorial Park, 6 River Road, Fredericksburg VA 22405. Southpoint Quality Dental is the event’s Presenting Sponsor.
